Glasses

I have been working on a set of six glasses. Pilsner style. I finished them on Monday and got them cleaned up. Need to remember to get a photo. Fast photo from the phone.

This is a three gather piece on a Calley Pipe. Color on the second gather just on the bottom of the piece. It is blown about halfway to two thirds and then jack line. The bottom really flattens out at this point. A quick heat and blow it round in the paper. Heat and hang down for length. Marver. Heat and swing. Marver and blow to shape. Drop a small two gather foot. Shape it and transfer. Open to V sides.

I tried one on Wednesday evening. This is gold topaz. The shape of the bubble here right after the jack line is laid in. Nice thick bottom for blowing the piece round before the swing. Nice tapper on the neck by the jack line.
