Maccia Style Bowl

I have been trying to make a piece for a local silent auction (http://www.ewc.org/). We made a maccia style bowl on Wednesday evening and it came out pretty good.

It is Kaiser Red with  Crown Yellow and Canary Yellow color drops. I dropped a dollop of clear on top of the yellow dots to give a slight color change. I like to have these pieces on their side so the flat bottom is off center and the piece has a celedon lip wrap.

The Crown Yellow really pops against the red.

In the right light the outside color shows through.

Nice ruffle on the piece
