Hearts

Brandon made a great bowl yesterday. I hope to get a photo of it today.

I have been working on hearts. With Valentines coming up I believe our new hearts will be a hit.

It is a small two gather piece. I am getting color on the second gather. Just on the tip of the glass trying to not get any color past about half way up.
Heat in the color and drop into the optic mold. Get some heat and jack. On knock off torch the punty mark and pull out a little of the glass with tweezers.
When going into the optic mold it is necessary to not push down. Let the glass flow off the punty. Move forward and backward in the mold but still try to keep the punty above the bulk of the glass. Lift and tap and forward and backward to get a good heart shape.
