Ginger Jar

Today I created a four gather ginger jar.

First gather picked up Crown Yellow (77) on the pipe end (two coats). This will typically create a nice color variation for the lip of the piece.

Second gather picked up Canary Yellow (78) (three coats).

Third Gather picked up Reddish Ameythist (k10, size 4), five groups of three chunks; then twisted the little bits of color for a pattern variation. These moved too much after the transfer and distorted the piece a bit.

Fourth gather just clear on top.

Blown out roundish. Leaving a bit about an inch at the top for the lip.

Large two gather foot.

Transfer. And open the lip a bit and then roll the lip back over onto the piece.

Soffietta to puff the side a bit. Jack open with the parchoffi's.

Also working on the photo booth. I got a table cloth hung all around the photo area now. It has really improved the quality of the pictures. I need to work on camera settings next to try to get the right A and F and whatnots on the camera.
